On the immense site of Tata Steel in IJmuiden, a total of 750 hectares, dozens of factories and installations are located that are closely interconnected. The entire steel production process takes place here: from the supply of raw materials, coal and iron ore, to the loading of finished steel rolls to the customer.
Careful coordination between all these links is crucial to ensure the continuity of steel production. Planning maintenance is therefore a complex task, for which Tata Steel needs many skilled maintenance professionals.
