There, the old Techport logo still adorned the facade of the Tata Steel Academy. A nod to 12.5 years of collaboration and growth.
We kicked off with a team session where Patrick, Gerik and Martin looked back at 2025 and forward to the new year. Gerik concluded with an ambition workshop, where the team energetically shared new ideas and plans.
We then boarded the bus for an impressive tour of all facets of the blast furnace: from storage to processing and finally the rolling mill. The highlight? Literally standing over the balustrade and looking down as steel is rolled from flat to coil. Steam, power, sound and lots of wow moments: we were very impressed.
This team outing was more than a look behind the scenes: it fits our goal of regularly visiting a Techport partner and seeing up close what is happening in our region. After all, these are the companies building the industry of tomorrow with us!
