ENKEV is a mattress manufacturer that has been working with natural materials since its inception. The organisation has a strong focus on quality and sustainability. With the arrival of a new operations director, the need also arose to bring more structure to the organisation and the management of teams within the factory.
The HR issue
The new operational director encountered various staffing issues. These ranged from managing the team on the shop floor to recruiting the right people. Due to the volume of responsibilities, it was difficult to set priorities and actually implement changes.
In addition, safety plays an important role in the factory. Creating a culture where working safely is a given was therefore an important focus. 20260105 ENKEV – Onepager Proje…
What did they do within the trajectory?
The project began with a strategic session where key HR priorities were determined together with the directors. From this session, various concrete steps were initiated.
Work was undertaken to strengthen the HR foundation, including by standardising the sickness absence process and co-creating a staff handbook. New job profiles were also developed for factory employees.
In addition, the focus was on culture and communication within the organisation. By establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and communication plans, changes could be implemented more effectively on the shop floor.
What did the trajectory yield?
The programme has helped ENKEV to provide more structure and direction to HR within the organisation. With clear priorities, job profiles and improved HR processes, a stronger foundation is created for effectively managing teams and further developing the organisation.
An important step towards a stable organisation and a safe, professional working environment.
