Samotics predicts when and why machines such as wind turbines and manufacturing equipment break down, especially when they use electric motors. Not without reason, there are some 100-150 million of these devices in Europe. By placing a sensor in the distribution box of a factory, the place where power is distributed, the company can see when motors show hiccups in the electricity they take. That is a sign that some time later, the device, or part of it, is going to fail. A departure from existing monitoring techniques.
