Marcel Tuip, Technical Director: "We do this by immersing ourselves in our customers' various fields and production processes on the basis of technical issues. In this way, we arrive at creative and pragmatic solutions in which we always focus on the availability of the installations. Our expertise lies in industrial automation and robotisation, electrical engineering, instrumentation and machine safety. This brings us to a very diverse range of clients, mostly in our own region. From steel industry to gas transport and storage, greenbiz and energy transition startups and infrastructure projects. We are also a supplier of automatic border passage systems for our national airport. The emphasis in work is shifting, it is no longer "only" about technology but solutions must also be serviceable, recyclable, energy-efficient and safe. That is why we will continue to innovate to cope with future issues as well."

Hoogewerf Engineering believes it is important to share knowledge and experience. For many years, Hoogewerf Engineering has been a recognised apprenticeship company and from there it has contact with the various technical educational institutions in the region. By providing internship and graduation places and mentoring students, they are keen to contribute to the development of these future technicians. One of their colleagues also works as a hybrid teacher at Horizon College. In addition, they provide external training for customers and partners in the field of industrial automation and machine safety.

Why Techport?

Marcel: "From Techport, various activities are initiated in the field of innovation, with Techport being the connecting factor between the Techport companies, schools and government. We would like to spar with the various participants, in order to discover what expertise is available in our region and, where possible, share our expertise in areas such as machine safety, industrial automation and energy management. So for Hoogewerf Engineering, it was a logical step to become a partner of Techport and start working together on the themes of 'choosing', 'learning', 'working' and 'innovating' in our region."
