A lot is about to happen off the coast of IJmuiden. With the development of the Hollandse Kust Noord, Zuid, West and IJmuiden Ver wind farms, the number of wind turbines off the coast of IJmuiden is going to increase at least tenfold until 2030 and the power generated will be at least 20 times the power generated by the existing farms.
To be the base of operations for existing and new offshore wind farms, the region needs to invest in a number of location factors; available ample space, available workforce and a chain of innovative companies.
