techport x HIP DIHO

Inside HIP DIHO companies, educational institutions, governments and civil society organisations join forces. Together, we are building projects that contribute to lifelong development and the transitions of the future. Think of new learning environments in which AI helps to learn faster and more specifically, training courses that prepare professionals for the hydrogen transition and field labs where sustainable innovations are tested directly in practice.

together opening the door to new opportunities.

Within HIP DIHO, we do not opt for thick reports or predefined scenarios, but for learning by doing. Experimenting, designing, reflecting and seeing mistakes as opportunities to grow. This approach ties in with UNESCO's Futures Literacy Labs, which teaches participants to look at the future differently and explore alternative scenarios.

As a participant, you get access to shared knowledge, field labs and a strong network of businesses, education and policymakers. Whether you want to join a low-threshold event or become a structural partner: HIP DIHO opens the door to new opportunities, collaboration and impact. Cool, right?

techport x learning community emds

The Learning Community Motor Driven Systems, a subproject within HIP DIHO, is the network for companies, knowledge institutes and field labs committed to energy saving and efficiency of electric motor-driven systems. Through knowledge sharing, practical cases and cooperation, we make systems in the manufacturing industry, water sector and infrastructure a lot more sustainable

together smarter & cleaner.

Within the community, you get access to workshops on smart technologies such as sensors, Edge AI and predictive maintenance, a network of peers, companies and experts to exchange experiences and solutions, and practical innovation projects and field lab cases in which new technologies are tested and applied immediately in working practice.

By working together, learning and innovating, we make energy efficiency of electric motor systems workable and measurable.

techport x transition accelerator ijmond

This programme drives innovation in the region and strengthens the ecosystem around it: entrepreneurship, organisational development and cooperation. With our three pathways, we match each growth phase so that your company gets just the right support, just at the right time.

Growing and thriving innovatively together.

The innovation acceleration programme Transition Accelerator IJmond helps entrepreneurs in the region bring their innovations to market faster and more effectively. The growth programme focuses on SMEs and startups that already have traction; companies with turnover from customers or ongoing pilots. Together, we work on scalability, repeatability and strong internal processes so that they are ready for the next growth phase.

This way, we help you not only get to a strong product-market fit, but also a solid scale-up fit.

techport x spacebuzz

The Spacebuzz project in IJmond is an educational programme that introduces primary and secondary school students to the environment, sustainability, technology, innovation and citizenship through “space education”.

COMPLETELY boost the tech sector.

Within Just Transition Fund IJmond, SpaceBuzz is linked to Techport. The aim is to reach about 13,000 students in the region through SpaceBuzz and inspire them for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subjects and technical professions - something that fits well with Techport's ambition to boost technical education, intake and innovation in the context of energy transition and making the region more sustainable.

techport x rif sustainable energies ijmond

Energy transition requires new knowledge, new skills and, above all, new professionals. With the RIF project Sustainable Energies IJmond, Nova College and Techport, together with companies and governments, are building future-oriented technical education.

Educating together for the energy transition.

With the RIF project Sustainable Energies IJmond, we are jointly strengthening technical secondary vocational education in the field of sustainable energy technology. As a partner, Techport links the practice of the regional manufacturing and energy sector to secondary vocational education, so that students and employees are trained with up-to-date knowledge of green energy technology that can be directly applied in IJmond. We ensure that courses on hydrogen, sun, wind and energy storage, among other things, are seamlessly aligned with what is required in practice today and tomorrow.

techport x service point engineering north-holland

The SPT is a broad cooperation between governments, labour market regions and sector and employee organisations in North-Holland. Together, we have one clear mission: to ensure that more people enter, progress and remain in the engineering, metal and construction industries.

Together strong for engineering, construction and metal.

What makes the SPT unique? We work across sectors and in several labour market regions at the same time. This allows us to operate independently and really look at what employers and (future) professionals need.

We build and maintain a strong regional network in which knowledge, insights and tools are cleverly shared between all parties active on the labour market in engineering, construction and metal. In addition, we guide and mediate people who want to work in engineering, are already working or are ready for the next step. We do this through personal coaching, orientation and training vouchers, mediation towards companies and close cooperation with training funds, work centres, trade unions and other partners.

This is how we bring demand and talent together - practically, independently and with impact.

techport x Switch ijzk

Engineering and technology are here to stay. And that is precisely why there is one big challenge: having enough well-trained professionals, now and in the future. SWITCH IJZK fully responds to this by combining national and regional subsidies to strengthen engineering and technology education in the IJmond & Zuid-Kennemerland region.

Shifting gears together towards strong engineering education

Whatever changes in subsidy schemes: SWITCH IJZK remains the permanent anchor point. This is where initiatives come together, knowledge is shared and we structurally build strong technology education. With one clear goal: to let all pupils in the region discover what engineering and technology have to offer - and thus increase their talents and career opportunities.

No separate projects, but one solid regional platform in which education, business, government and civil society organisations work together to create a future-proof learning and innovation climate. That is SWITCH IJZK.

IJmond & Zuid-Kennemerland region
In this region, primary education, secondary education, senior secondary vocational education (MBO) and industry work closely together. From Castricum to Zandvoort and from Haarlem to Velsen: together, we provide a broad, high-quality and future-oriented technical education offer.

techport x Learning culture for transitions

Energy transition, digitalisation and the growing labour shortage are demanding quite a lot from SMEs in the North Sea Canal area. Not only in terms of technology and processes, but especially in terms of people. Because how do you ensure that employees can keep growing along with change?

That's where learning culture comes in. Not as an “extra”, but as a strategic force in your organisation. In this compact course, you will learn how to anchor learning in your daily work - so that your company remains agile, retains staff and is ready for the future. HR professionals play a key role in this: they make learning a conscious strategy and use transitions as an opportunity to accelerate.
