On Monday 7 October, the Techport network gathered at De Walvis sports hall in Beverwijk for the networking event themed 'Think Global, Act Digital. We started with an interview with Techport director Patrick Swart, about his impression of Techport and the network since he took office, over 100 days ago. Among other things, he expressed his desire to make Techport's sustainable mission measurable, so that the results of all activities and innovations become more visible. We then moved on to interviews with, and cheque presentation to, three entrepreneurs who received contributions from the European Just Transition Fund for a total of four projects: Electric Barge from E-PortLiner Holding B.V., Plasma Toolbox for Clean Air and CO2 as Raw Material from KapiteinLabs B.V. and Fieldlab Smart Energy from Techport.
Congratulations to all!

Technology expert, author and key note speaker Deborah Nas then took the audience into the world of technology development and digitalisation, and how we as a society are responding to it. She gave her expert view on the lightning-fast developments of AI, with concrete examples of applications and opportunities. The uncertainties and dangers were also discussed. One of her own wishes is for education to be better aligned with the digitalisation of the world. This ties in nicely with the mission of Techport Technology Week, for which the space was set up around us. Danielle van der Mark came on stage to give the go-ahead for Technology Week and invite participants to come along, for example at the open evening for parents and children on 10 October.

In the sports café, we concluded with hat literal spotlighting of a selection of Techport's offerings. Programme leader Suzan Buss drew attention to strategic HR for SMEs, the incubation and acceleration programme Green Incubator was promoted by Michiel de Klein of Innomics, Gerik ten Berge, programme leader Innovation, highlighted the Smart Tech Innovation Vouchers and relationship manager Theo Koster enthused the audience about the Techport Company Plus partnership. Techport chairman Mark Denys closed the afternoon.
The event was overseen by chairman of the day Gerdie Schreuders.
