Patrick Swart nieuwe directeur Techport

Since 17 June, Patrick Swart is the new director of Techport. He is looking forward to getting to know Techport and all its member companies, schools and other organisations better, and to working together with all partners to create the Netherlands' first green industrial zone. Patrick: "I already knew Techport, but now I get to really immerse myself in the world of innovation, education, sustainability and technology in this special IJmond region."

Experience in innovation and organisational development
Before joining Techport, Patrick did several things. Among other things, he managed a consulting firm, several media companies and (educational) publishing houses. From different roles, he has guided change processes, set up innovation programmes and gone through digital transitions. In addition, he was one of the coaches within the GO!-NH programme.

Patrick: "A good idea, new concept or innovation proves itself in execution, where ambitious goals match a realistic picture of what the organisation(s) and its people are capable of. We want to innovate and renew together in a future-proof and application-oriented way, but #HOEDAN? As far as I am concerned, always with the people and the team as the starting point and the bundling of competences and expertise needed to realise the desired development. From Techport, we try to give substance to this collective ambition by setting the preconditions for success and facilitating and supporting its realisation. We do so - and we must - in close cooperation and coalition with business, government and educational institutions."

About Patrick personally
Patrick lives with his wife Esther and their two sons (one has already flown out) in De Rijp on the Eilandspolder. He swims very regularly in the Baafje in Heiloo (or the Hoornse Vaart when it is winter) and loves to cook elaborate meals for family or friends. Besides browsing for new music on Spotify, he likes to visit a concert or show. You can always wake him up for ice cream.
