Fix the system, not the girls.
During the annual Girls' Day, companies and colleges open their doors for girls aged 10 to 15 to discover the world of STEM, engineering and IT. A unique opportunity to see how fun and versatile technical professions can be.
During the company visit, the girls follow a programme that includes a short introduction to the company, a tour or demonstration, introductions to (female) professionals and hands-on working on a fun do-activity.

why girls' day?
Despite the high demand for technical talent, only 14% of technical professionals are women. This is due to gender stereotyping, limited perception of technical courses and professions, low self-confidence in science subjects and lack of role models.
By contrast, STEM and IT are more important than ever for society. This is precisely why we organise Girls' Day: a day to show that engineering is also (and just as well) for girls.
Girls' Day makes a difference - by improving the system, not the girls themselves. After all, they are just right the way they are.
