This is what Techport does
Companies, schools and the government work together within Techport on the future of industry in IJmond. Every year we inspire more than 10,000 young people with the Techport Technology Week, guest lectures, workshops and open days. Dozens of companies are actively involved in education and, together with education partners, shape the educational programs of technology courses. Companies also provide hybrid teachers. For companies, the collaboration with Techport is fruitful. They are better able to recruit new talent, retain employees and attract lateral entrants. Skills-based training courses have been developed at the secondary and higher vocational schools of the affiliated educational institutions to retrain employees for jobs in sustainable technology. The Techport innovation agenda stimulates innovation: large companies, SME entrepreneurs and startups work together with the educational partners on innovative applications.
