Techport 10 years
Ten years ago, on December 12, 2013, Techport was founded to strengthen regional cooperation. Since then, the Techport network has grown, we have achieved much together, and we have even greater ambitions. Techport is here to stay! We are celebrating the anniversary by sharing inspiring stories from pioneers, inventors, makers, educators, innovators, quartermasters and boosters from Techport's network for ten months, from January through October 2024.
January 10 marked the kickoff of this anniversary year during a festive but also substantive networking event.
The program of this afternoon at a glance: Jessica Peters-Hondelink, director-director of the Amsterdam Economic Board congratulated Techport. Then Henno van Horssen, program director of Techport, talked about the successes achieved and ambitions for the future. Speaker and author Jos Ahlers took the audience into the world of "Gen Z" and how this generation thinks about the world, money, communication and work. Theo Koster introduced the new partner model "Techport Company Plus. The company Intures received from him the first Techportbedrijf Plus certificate. On stage, Techport schools and Techport companies then told how they are working towards the goals of Techport, and what they need to move forward. The pub quiz that followed was won by the team named "Green Mix. Then it was time for drinks with a toast to Techport and the new year.
