Engineering study day for teachers Phanta Rei
On Monday, December 7, over 60 teachers from Panta Rhei Elementary School in Beverwijk were immersed in the seven worlds of technology. Teachers received an online lecture and watched various experiments and tips & tricks from Boy Vissers, the experimentation expert from Quest Jr. to easily apply Science & Technology in the curriculum. Afterwards, the teachers got to work themselves with a workshop by FIX Make Education and with experiments from the Techport activity box, which had been delivered to the school in advance.
Teachers have an important role in the choices students make. Therefore, Techport also likes to work with teachers to get students interested in engineering. To inspire and support them, Techport offers a special technique study day.
Natasja Peters, principal of Panta Rhei Elementary School says: "The information beforehand was clear, the materials were present in sufficient quantities, the goodie bags with technique fan and quartet game were very much appreciated and the lunch was also well appreciated. Our teachers got to thinking about how to integrate technology within their teaching. That was exactly our intention!"
