Study day full of technology for elementary school teachers

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Techport provided an online program for over 100 elementary school teachers from Techport schools during their study day, this as part of Techport Technology Week. The program during this livestream included an interactive presentation by Boy Visser, experimentation expert from Quest Jr.

More than 100 teachers were able to watch various experiments and tips & tricks from Boy Visser via a livestream in order to easily apply Science & Technology in their teaching program. Following Boy's lecture, the teachers got to work at their schools with experiments from the Techport activity box, which was delivered to the schools beforehand.

In the 2nd part of the morning there was a lecture on the subject of 'Choosing Technology', provided by Jet-Net & TechNet. And the teachers were briefly taken through the 7 worlds of technology and that the image children have of 'technology' is definitely not always the right one! The morning session ended with a livestream act by MadScience. They provide various spectacular workshops, demonstrations and activities for children in the field of science. After a delicious lunch, a live technique workshop was provided to the schools by FIX Maakonderwijs. FIX Make Education is a new curriculum at the intersection of art and technology for elementary school in the IJmond region.
