We are Haprotech Welding Training, Certification and Technical Temporary Work Agency. For almost 25 years we have been training welders in our welding institute in Velsen-Noord. Companies, large and small, can come to us for all NIL-recognized manual skills training.
In addition to training for regular companies, in cooperation with municipalities, Penitentiary Institution , and other social partners, we provide apprenticeships in welding and basic metal skills. Through our own employment agency, these people work for our clients. We are also the right place for regular staffing issues such as temporary replacement during illness, extra employees during busy periods or replacement due to turnover. Welders are tested so that we know what they can do. Because we have our own school we can quickly switch to training if necessary. Besides welders, we also mediate in other technical positions such as (electro)mechanics, foremen, fitters and wrenchmen.

Techport is initiator and leader within the Fieldlab and closely coordinates the progress of activities with the Hub within the project group. Digital development in society is rapid, so too in industry. As KIN Center of Digital Innovation, we like to be close to the field to study and advise how digitalization and digital techniques (machine learning, artificial intelligence) affect collaboration and organization.
Unlike traditional inertial sensor systems, Inertia focuses on distributed solutions inspired by the field of wireless sensor networks. Wireless communication capabilities allow motion measurements to be processed online in a network of cooperating sensors, providing improved accuracy in detected features and instant feedback.

Inertia participates in Techports Fieldlab Smart Maintenance. Here we simulate factory processes, test sensors and translate measurement data into knowledge and information. By linking plant and production data, we can optimize maintenance models and predict machine failure. This leads to optimal use of resources, with maximum results for minimum costs.

Tata Steel's immense industrial site in IJmuiden - 750 hectares in all - has 17 factories and adjacent facilities that are intensively intertwined. The entire steel production process happens here: from the supply of raw materials - coal and iron ore - to the loading of ready-to-use rolls of steel to customers.
Close coordination between all these links is crucial to ensure the continuity of steel production. Needless to say, scheduling maintenance is then a complex job.
Every year, entire sections of the site experience a summer shutdown of several days, during which factories and facilities are completely shut down. For regular maintenance, some 600 maintenance professionals walk around the plants.
With Techport, we have a great connection with education and the manufacturing industry in the region, among other things. Techport is also located at the Tata Steel Academy, making it a good location and basis for a partnership.
