MyTec-Companies and Techport will work together
What do MyTec Companies and Techport have in common? Well a lot! The organizations have overlapping ambitions when it comes to strengthening technical education. That's why MyTec-Bedrijven and Techport have joined forces and are going to strengthen each other on educational activities.
Finding and training good professionals is the big challenge for the technical business community in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. MyTec-Bedrijven en Techport aretherefore going towork together in promoting technology to increase the influx and outflow of technical education.
But they are also looking together at integrating smart maintenance into training in the region, including in the MyTec course. This is happening within the RIF Smart Maintenance. Mathijn Korf, MyTec Businesses program manager: "Together we are working to integrate modules on smart maintenance into the Nova College courses. And we are also developing an Associate Degree program, which is a shortened college of higher education, creating a continuous learning line from vmbo and mbo to hbo."
By linking the two networks together, Techport and MyTec-Bedrijven can achieve more for engineering education and influx into the region. Henno van Horssen, Techport program manager: "We are going to encourage our Techport companies and schools to participate. Together we have an even wider network and can really make strides in promoting and improving technical education. And, of course, we hope to host the MyTec Companies during the annual Techport Technology Week."
