'Great TML projects ahead!
In the field of tiny machine learning, André Gerver is working hard with students from Inholland and the Hogeschool van Amsterdam! They are mapping the production line for several companies, predicting machine maintenance and providing real-time information on consumption and how to save energy.
André: "We are working on great projects! For example, we are even working on two use cases for the company Van der Eng. Among other things, the company makes plastic labels for horticulture and consumption tokens for festivals. We are monitoring how we can make production more energy efficient. In addition, we are mapping the entire production line'.
Interest in tiny machine learning grows
There is increasing interest from companies in Tiny Machine Learning. From a meeting set up earlier by Techport with partners from the network, interesting use cases emerged. André and Gerik further defined new use cases after the meeting with a number of partners, which will be implemented in September with students from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and Hogeschool Inholland. Andre will supervise the use case.
Currently, they are also working on three uses cases at a large food production company, which provides pre-cut vegetables. André: "These three projects are aimed at saving energy, preventing machines from stalling and monitoring rinse water so that pumps do not clog up. In addition, a number of other use cases are starting at production companies to monitor and reduce energy consumption. Experience shows that savings of 10 to 30% are achievable according to Andre. 'We also already have nice TML projects on the horizon. In fact, we already have several projects lined up for after the summer'.
