Smart Maintenance master class launched
The Smart Maintenance master class will start in February 2022. The Smart Maintenance master class prepares maintenance technicians for the future. The form of master class is tailored to the preferences of the mechanics: lots of practical situations, little theory and no classes.
Together with and at the request of the Techport companies, the Nova College, Techport and maintenance firms have developed a refresher course for (MBO) mechanics. This will strengthen the knowledge and skills on the shop floor in the field of smart and predictive maintenance. Applying smart technologies such as the Internet of Things, sensor technology, advanced analytics and machine learning in maintenance processes makes it possible to predict the wear behavior of installations, prevent unexpected failures and extend the lifespan of factories. So by incorporating smart maintenance, you can produce more energy efficiently. Manufacturers, suppliers, educational institutions and Techport have formed a consortium to develop a series of master classes for existing (maintenance) employees for this purpose. The training will be secured in the existing offer of partners such as ROC Nova College, Tata Steel Academy and House of Skills.
Masterclass
The masterclass is 16 to 18 day parts and the daily practice is central. Therefore, the training series consists not only of theory, but the practical situations are the classroom, whether or not simulated using augmented reality. The training includes the use of Techport's pilot plant; the Fieldlab Smart Maintenance. The master class is designed so that parts of it can also be used for retraining and further training. Would you like more information about the master class? Then contact Ronald Vreeken(rvreeken@novacollege.nl).
Train the trainer
A special train the trainer program for trainers and lecturers will start in mid-September. This training consists of four days and is aimed at ensuring that teachers and trainers receive the right information and learn knowledge and skills to professionally guide and support Smart Maintenance course participants. Teachers are taken through the main teaching items based on the curriculum of the Smart Maintenance course and informed and trained on them. Do you have any questions? If so, please contact edward.straus@techport.nl.
The Smart Maintenance master class is an SME!dee and, as a result, was created with support from House of Skills and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate.
