Associated Degree Maintenance starts September 2021
At the end of 2019, we informed you about the development of the Associate Degree (AD) Maintenance course. An AD course is an abbreviated college degree (2 years) intended for MBO graduates. This new program is specifically for students from the mbo who want to continue in the maintenance profession. Due to corona measures, it has been decided to postpone the start of the course for one year. This means that the training will start in September 2021.
Even before the Christmas vacations 2019, the program was officially applied to the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO). The development of the new program also started from that moment. The plan was to start the AD Maintenance at Hogeschool Inholland Alkmaar in September 2020.
It has since been announced that that the NVAO is pushing forward all applications for TNOs (Toets Nieuwe Opleiding) until after the summer. The AD program is expected to have its turn for a TNO starting in October. This has implications for our planning. Therefore, we now assume that from February 2021 students can apply for the program, which will then start in September 2021.
The coming period will be used by Nova College Beverwijk, Hogeschool Inholland Alkmaar and ROC Kop van Noord-Holland from Den Helder to further optimize the educational program together with the other partners.
