Girls' Day for girls as well as boys
As many as 9 Techport companies and 7 Nova College technical programs participated in Girls' Day 2023, powered by Nova Smart Girls. They form the community to retain female students for engineering and recruit new female students for engineering.
110 girls from class 2 secondary schools went on a company visit in the morning to Blok System Supply, ENK Software BV, MSD Netherlands, Isolatie Combinatie, Crown Van Gelder International B.V., Omgevingsdienst IJmond, Damen, ETA - The Netherlands - VTTI and Tata Steel in Europe. After a tasty lunch, they followed workshops from the courses advisor Sustainability, Automotive Engineering, Construction Engineering, ICT, Installation Work, Laboratory Engineering and MyTec. This year for the first time there were also boys at the Girls' Day. Because there are plenty of boys who like engineering so much that they don't want to miss this cool day full of engineering.
The girls were quite impressed

Through a visit you really experience what it is like to work at such a wonderful technical company and I noticed that the girls were impressed.
Great company and beautiful nature
Mostly from the strict safety requirements, but also from the grandeur, the impact the company has internationally, the importance of the work they do AND the beautiful nature that has been created on the site because few people visit. For example, we saw the rabbits happily hopping around."
