Lifelong learning
It is important to match education with the job market. But once working, you would want to continue to use the learning curve. Techport sees improving the learning culture as an opportunity for businesses in the regional manufacturing and maintenance industry to sustainably improve their market position and optimize their connection to the labor market. To this end, Techport recently organized the digital meeting "Lifelong Learning" for companies.
Paul Vereijken of Boon Software: "One development that is going on is the shift from assessing and checking diplomas and certificates to competencies and skills. Think of it as a kind of electronic file where you can pass and share knowledge and learning systems with each other."
During the interactive meeting, companies interacted with each other about digitalization and developments in competencies and skills. Ideas were exchanged and there was a lot of creativity from the participants. "An easy way of collecting and sharing knowledge is through digital platforms. Small companies are still struggling with this. The conglomeration of Techport is a nice platform for this," said Paul Vereijken.
To continue these developments, Techport wants to support participants in applying for the SME!dee scheme. This scheme is specifically for SMEs that want to introduce a modern learning culture based on skills and abilities. Examples include the rigging of a digital "skills passport," "learning locker," and "lifelong learning," where the effort is fully reimbursed.
Important! Due to the deadline for MKB!dee scheme, application can be made until January 5, 2021 at the latest to Theo Koster (theo.koster@techport.nl).
This meeting was organized by Techport in cooperation with House of Skills, Selmers, Meemaken BV. and Boon Software.
