Brakenhoff is a family business in Beverwijk, specializing in transport, relocation and storage. Like many organizations, the need arose to no longer \u201cbe in on it\u201d, but to organize HR in a structured and future-oriented way.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HR issue\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As is the case with many technical SME companies, a large part of the HR tasks fell to the management team. Over time, the HR tasks took up so much time from the management team that it was decided to organize them differently.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The management wanted to organize HR in a way that was appropriate to the culture and size of the company. But how do you organize HR tasks when there has never been an HR employee in your organization before? Techport helped to develop a strategic HR plan suitable for SMEs, and remained involved from start to finish in the implementation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did the trajectory yield?\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the start of the project, Techport conducted research into the current state of HR tasks, interviewing several employees in the process. This resulted in a strategic proposal for organizing the HR tasks, which the management decided to recruit an internal HR employee for. Techport assisted with the recruitment interviews, after which a candidate was hired. For this new HR employee, Techport prepared an onboarding process, prioritizing the HR tasks. During the first year, Techport was involved as an expert\/partner for the new HR employee.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has led to close collaboration, which has now resulted in Brakenhoff having a professional HR department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means the organisation has not only assigned tasks, but also taken a step towards further professionalisation. Or, in the words of director Jeroen: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
