Hoogewerf Engineers
At Hoogewerf Engineering we work with a team of passionate hardware and software engineers who enjoy working with technology. We like to think along with clients in order to come up with the most optimal solutions together.
Marcel Tuip, Technical Director: "We do this by delving into the technical issues in the various fields and production processes of our customers. In this way we arrive at creative and pragmatic solutions in which the availability of the installations is always central. Our expertise lies in the fields of industrial automation and robotization, electrical engineering, instrumentation and machine safety. This brings us to a very diverse range of clients, mostly in our own region. From steel industry to gas transport and storage, startups in the field of greenbiz and energy transition and infra projects. In addition, we are a supplier of automatic border passage systems for our national airport. The emphasis in the work is shifting, it is no longer "only" about technology but solutions must also be serviceable, recyclable, energy efficient and safe. This is why we will continue to innovate to be able to cope with future issues as well."
Hoogewerf Engineering believes it is important to share knowledge and experience. For many years, Hoogewerf Engineering has been a recognized training company and from there has contact with the various technical educational institutions in the region. By providing internship and graduation places and supervising the students, they would like to contribute to the development of these future technicians. One of the colleagues also works as a hybrid teacher at Horizon College. They also provide external training for customers and partners in the field of industrial automation and machine safety.
Why Techport?
Marcel: "From Techport various activities are initiated in the field of innovation, where Techport is the connecting factor between the Techport companies, schools and government. We like to spar with the different participants, in order to discover what expertise is present in our region and where possible to share our expertise on e.g. machine safety, industrial automation and energy management. For Hoogewerf Engineering it was therefore a logical step to become a partner of Techport and to work together on the themes 'choosing', 'learning', 'working' and 'innovating' in our region."
